Transfers airport Charles de Gaulle - hotelHow to reach Paris from the airportHow much is a taxi in Paris from the airport Charles de GaulleParis the capital of France

It is quite natural, that the most visited city in the world should have good international communication. In Paris, it is represented by ten railway stations and four major airports:

• international – L'aéroport de Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle;

• budgetary (low-cost) – L'aéroport de Beauvais;

• for private business class jets – L'aéroport de Paris Le Bourget;

• domestic – L'aéroport de Paris-Orly

Let's see what airport in Paris is visited most often. From the above-mentioned air harbors Charles de Gaulle airport can rightly be called the tourist gateway to the French capital. Often, the word “Roissy” is added to the name, that points to its location in the municipality of Roissy-en-France.

The main airport of Paris began to receive tourists in 1974 and since then has entered the top ten airports worldwide. It has four runways, the longest of which is 4200 m. It is located at an altitude of 119 meters above sea level. Airport terminals are divided into 1, 2 and 3. The second terminal has been designed specially for the main French airline Air France and is the largest, consisting of 7 directions (A – G). Just these terminals are most familiar to tourists.

Ways to get from the airport to a hotel

 Most often, the tourists, arriving in Paris, settle in hotels which are located either in the center of the city (expensive ones), or on the outskirts (economical option). The first question that arises after your going out of the terminal, of course, is related to ways of reaching the hotel. And there are a lot of options, choosing from which, you should take two factors into consideration – convenience and price. The most comfortable way is expensive, and the cheapest option is associated with disadvantages. Let’s consider these options.

Transfer from airport

This way is the most convenient, fast and secure. Your personal driver comes, greets you, helps with luggage and takes directly to the hotel. And you understand him, because he speaks the language of your choice. You can book a transfer on our web site.

When placing an order for a transfer, be prepared to indicate the number of people, your flight number, time of arrival, the company of the carrier, the address of your hotel, your name and phone number. Be sure that you remember all these details.

Taxi or bus

If you cannot afford a transfer, use a taxi which provides almost the same conditions. You can call it immediately in the arrival hall near the special stand. Then find on the map the access, nearest to your terminal, to a special parking lot, from which taxi drivers have the right to pick up passengers. You should pay to a taxi driver according to the meter; it will cost at least 60 euros.

How to get to the city center or to other stations even cheaper? And what if your flight is at night? The following bus routes can help you out:

• Roissybus – to the Opéra Station from any terminal;

• № 350 – to the East Railway Station from Terminal 3;

• № 351 – to the Nation Station from Terminal 3;

• line № 4 from Air France to Orly airport;

• routes Noctilien № 140, 143 to the East Railway Station from one o'clock to three o'clock in the morning.

The fare on buses is from 15 euros. Urban routes № 350, 351 work from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., all other lines – up to 11 p.m.

There is no cheaper way to get from the airport to the city, than to use the subway or commuter train. But such a trip can be very uncomfortable for those with heavy luggage. Firstly, it is necessary to go down the stairs. Secondly, you’ll have to pass through the turnstiles at least twice. Thirdly, in order to get in the carriage, you need to open and close the door. It is not very easy to do all this with luggage.

If you are willing to make such a trip, follow the instructions:

1. Find an airport plan and see, how to walk from your terminal to the subway station.

2. Find signs with the inscription RER B.

3. At the station you first need to buy a ticket from the machine, similar to ATM. Read the instructions, purchase a ticket.

4. Go to the turnstiles and wait for the arrival of the train.

The airport map makes it clear that if you come out of Terminal 1 or 3, you will take the train from the station № 1; if your flight ends in Terminal 2, your metro station will be called №2-TGV.
